Flight School
Our flight training programs are based on nearly 40 years of experience. We understand people and what is involved in teaching them how to become safe and confident aviators. Our instructors are carefully selected, highly motivated, carefully supervised and dedicated to your success.
Our Private Pilot and Instrument Programs are approved by the FAA under FAR Part 141, This means our training and aircraft maintenance programs have been carefully reviewed by the FAA and that our flight instructors must receive additional training by the Chief Flight Instructor. Student training records must be maintained and the FAA inspects the aircraft annually.
We are an approved Cessna Pilot Center. Our fleet is comprised of new Cessna aircraft, equipped with the latest state of the art equipment, including GPS, autopilot. When you train at AFI you will be ahead of the game and confident in your ability to operated the aircraft. We use the latest in Computer Course Material.
We are located at the Fullerton Airport and are licensed by the City of Fullerton. We meet or exceed their requirements of insurance. The Fullerton Airport has long been recognized as one of the best southern California airports for training, with no delays for traffic, and quick access to the flight training areas.
We are approved to give all FAA written tests.

This web-based course provides everything you need to obtain your Sport or Private Pilot Certificate. It’s been designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to embrace your future in aviation.
This course is for the pilot who is training in either a technically-advanced full-glass cockpit airplane or in an airplane with analog gauges. The training includes videos and full-motion diagrams of the course material, plus a complete FAA knowledge exam review program—and it’s available anywhere you have Internet access. Your personal login will maintain a record of which sessions you have completed and will allow you to continue where you left off if you are interrupted. And the course never expires, so you'll have access to all of the in-depth knowledge sessions and flight previews and can review important topics well after you have completed your training.
Ground School Courses
If you have not taken the FAA written knowledge test this is your opportunity to prepare for the test. Our goal is help you gain the knowledge to pass the test. This knowledge will also help you succeed in the flight portion of the private pilot course.
